# Northpoint Capital > A home for founders crazy enough to believe the world can change, and disciplined enough to actually change it. This brief is generated from the same canonical content that powers the public Northpoint website. ## Manifesto Animated labels: BELIEFS, CONVICTIONS, PRINCIPLES, MANIFESTO The future has always belonged to the few who refused to accept the present. ### I · In the arena History has never been written with permission. > We do not back technologies. We back that force. Every age inherits a settled story about what is possible, and every leap forward has come from someone unwilling to live inside it. The tools change — fire, the wheel, flight, the network, now intelligence itself — but the force that bends them toward something new has never changed. It is the oldest force in history, and the only one that has ever moved it forward: a single human being who decides the way things are is not the way they must remain. We do not back technologies. We back that force. Everything that follows is only its consequence. ### II · The world we are building towards Not so that India catches up, so that India sets the pace. > We are not here so that India catches up. We are here so that India sets the pace. India is about to write the most important chapter in its history — and most of the companies that will define it do not yet exist. We are not here so that India catches up. We are here so that India sets the pace. Not derivatives of what worked elsewhere. Companies that are the first of their kind, in categories that have no playbook until an Indian founder writes one. Because when a nation’s builders are finally backed at the scale of their ambition, what follows is not merely wealth. It is a people discovering the full measure of what they are capable of. We exist to back the founders who will create a fifth of the new value this country builds over the next fifteen years and to place India, permanently, at the center of the world’s imagination. Rooted here. Building for everyone. ### III · Why it is still unbuilt Capital floods towards the safe and calls it prudence, so the hard things go unattempted. > Capital is a coward by default. The future is late because the hardest things remain undone — and the hardest things are precisely the ones that move the world. Capital is a coward by default. It floods towards the obvious, the proven, the safe, and calls that prudence. What it leaves behind is a quiet conspiracy of incrementalism: imitation dressed as ambition, motion mistaken for progress, cracks papered over and sold as growth. This is what we exist against. The tyranny of the quarter. The worship of the sure thing. The crowd that mistakes its own size for proof. The spectator who has never once stepped onto the field, yet never runs short of opinions for those who have. So the problems that actually matter — the ones that demand years of unglamorous work in the dark, with no applause and no guarantee — go unattempted. Not because they cannot be solved here. Because too few will fund the long night it takes to try. ### IV · Why Northpoint We were built for the hard things, and built to stay. > When we are in, we are in. We were built for the hard things. That is the entire reason we exist. We choose conviction over volume. We would rather be alone and wrong, than crowded and ordinary — because the breakthroughs that matter look like mistakes until the moment they look inevitable, and someone has to believe in that interval. We do. When we commit, we commit without reservation. Not a name on a cap table — the full weight of everything we are, gathered around the founder from the first day. When we are in, we are in. And we are patient in a way this industry has forgotten how to be. We will never push a founder towards an exit that serves us and fails them. Move with urgency, but build to last. Skip nothing. Strengthen the foundation before you raise the walls — so that when the world shakes, and it always shakes, you do not merely survive it. You grow stronger for it. This is “Early to Enduring”. Not a slogan — a discipline. Nothing that lasts is built by accident, and nothing that lasts is built alone. ### V · Who we back The audacious, the defiant, the impossible to discourage. > You are who we exist for. The audacious and the relentless. The defiant, the resolute, the impossible to discourage. The originals and the independent minds. The underdogs, the outsiders, the ones told to wait their turn. The true believers. We back the ones who are in it — bruised by the work, acquainted with failure, and unbowed by either. The ones who try and fall short and rise to try again, because there is no real attempt without the risk of falling short, and the credit never did belong to the ones who only watched. We back the ones who refuse to go quietly — who will fight against every easy reason to stop, and burn brightest exactly when the day is closing. They are masters of their own fate, builders who trust their instinct and stand alone on a conviction while the crowd drifts the other way. You are who we exist for. ### VI · What we believe Conviction is a discipline, not a mood. > Not the most profitable. Not the easiest. The most right. That solving hard things is what carries the world forward, and that the safe bet contributes nothing to it. That the founder is the protagonist, and we are in service of the company — never the reverse. That conviction is a discipline, not a mood. That patience compounds. That the long term is the only term that has ever mattered. We believe in power married to grace, and ferocity married to patience — the bearing of the tiger, this land’s own. It does not roar to announce itself. It moves with precision, trusts its instinct, refuses the herd. But when it commits, the force is absolute. Disciplined force, never brute force. Something rare. Something you do not forget. And above all of it: to do the most right thing we can with whatever stands before us. Not the easiest. The most right. ### VII · What we will never do The lines we will not cross, for any return. > Never grow comfortable. Never coast. Never stop. Never trade our principles for a return. Never shortchange anyone who trusted us — founder, partner, teammate, LP, or peer. Never put ourselves above the founder. Never trade the long term for the short. Never lose our grace — direct without cruelty, certain without arrogance. ### VIII · Our promise We will be in it with you, at the summit and through the long night both. > Patient capital. Total partnership. We will be in it with you — not watching from a safe distance, not narrating afterward how it should have been done, but beside you in the work itself, at the summit and through the long night both. When fortune turns your way, we will keep our heads. When it turns against you, we will not flinch. We will hold the line when there is nothing left in you, even the will to hold it; and we will still be there when the will returns. Patient capital. Total partnership. The hard questions, and the trust to let you answer them. We will stay rooted in where we come from while we help you build for the world. This is the privilege we offer, and the one we feel: to stand with the ones daring enough to build the future of a rising nation. ### IX · Only beginning A small team, nothing but conviction, and something built to outlive us all. > We are Northpoint. And we are only beginning. Let it one day be said that a small team came from nowhere, with nothing but conviction, integrity, and an unreasonable belief in what this country could become — and built one of the most enduring institutions of its generation. Not the largest. Not the loudest. The most enduring. Remembered for how it was done: with honor, and without compromise. The future is not something we wait for. It is something we build — in the dark, against the doubt, refusing to the last to go quietly. We are Northpoint. And we are only beginning. Early to Enduring. Next: Investments (/investments/) ## Investments Every generation gets a few inventions that quietly divide history into before and after. We're in the search for ours. ### EarthRe - Stage: Series A - Sectors: Financial Services & Fintech - Founders: Malay Poddar, Siddesh Ramasubramanian, Shivakhumar R S, Aavrit Singhal Reinsurance company focused on climate risks #### Why we invested EarthRe was founded by the team that built India's largest crop insurer into the fourth largest in the world, writing a substantial share of the country's crop insurance. They have run the underwriting, priced the risk, and built relationships across insurers, regulators, and disaster management authorities that this business depends on. In reinsurance, you underwrite the risk and you underwrite the underwriter; this team has done both, together, for years. India's non-life insurance penetration is a quarter of the global average. Deepening it will take reinsurance capacity. But India only has two incorporated reinsurers of its own, so foreign reinsurers carry most of its risk today. earthRe is the first reinsurer incorporated in GIFT City, India's first International Financial Services Centre. It combines technology with capacity to underwrite non-life risk. The team built the technology first, as InRisk. Their models help Indian insurers design and price parametric products. Now earthRe puts its own capital behind them. Every risk earthRe writes teaches it something about exposure. That knowledge sharpens the models. Sharper models win better risk. The loop compounds over time, and it travels across the Global South. They have built a rare dual-DNA team: a hardware, robotics, and AI core paired with a disciplined operations backbone grounded in quality and regulatory execution. Pharma and wellness manufacturing still scales the old way, by duplicating fixed lines, which makes high-mix, lower-volume production uneconomical. Incumbent contract manufacturers run on batch infrastructure they have little incentive to replace, and equipment makers sell machines without the software to orchestrate them. What cloud computing did for compute, Leumas is doing for manufacturing. Leumas sits between the two. It has built a software-orchestrated, modular continuous-manufacturing platform that decouples production capacity from fixed lines, much as cloud computing decoupled compute from hardware. The same digital recipe moves across lines and sites without tech transfer or revalidation, so capacity is added through utilisation and orchestration. The platform is live and commercialising today. Each new production line that Leumas adds improves its proprietary hardware stack and compounds its orchestration advantage, delivering an unmatched value proposition for its customers. That experience is timely. The gaming industry is rationalizing. Publishers face rising development costs, fewer profitable bets, and pressure to cut fixed overheads. Increasingly, they turn to specialized partners, and the outsourced development market is growing roughly twice as fast as gaming overall. Within its first eighteen months, Liquidnitro became a development partner to three of the world's ten largest publishers and has expanded its mandate within each. Liquidnitro is built to meet that demand. Rather than offering narrow, point services, it provides full-cycle game development, live services, geo-adaptation for emerging markets, and co-development of new intellectual property. By choosing to be AI-native, prioritising quality over volume and depth over breadth, Liquidnitro is positioned not as a vendor but as a trusted co-development partner. Website: https://www.liquidnitro.games/ ### Locksmith Bio - Stage: Seed - Sectors: Health, Deep Tech - Founders: Ajitesh Lunge, Yashas Devasurmutt Full-stack AI drug discovery platform purpose-built for intrinsically disordered proteins #### Why we invested Locksmith Bio was founded by a medical doctor turned computational biologist and a biotechnology engineer, trained between leading Indian research institutes and Stanford. They are backed by a scientific advisory board of unusual depth for a company this young, including one of the founding figures of the field they are building in. That field is among the hardest in biology. Most human proteins are considered undruggable because they have no fixed shape; they shift and fold in constant motion. These "dancing proteins" sit at the heart of many cancers and neurodegenerative diseases, and they stay invisible to drug-discovery tools designed for rigid, structured targets. The leading AI models, built for static structure, simply guess where these proteins blur. In AI drug discovery, the algorithm is getting commoditized. The data is the moat. Locksmith takes a different path. It pairs a proprietary assay that captures how disordered proteins actually behave in clinical samples with an AI engine trained on that data and a peptide design pipeline suited to flexible targets. Its first programme aims at a cancer with little effective treatment in decades. Website: https://locksmithbio.org/ ### PlatinumRx - Stage: Series A - Sectors: Consumer, Health - Founders: Ashutosh Pandey, Piyush Kumar India’s first pure-play trade generics ePharmacy Platform #### Why we invested PlatinumRx was founded by two seasoned operators who have scaled consumer businesses in trust-deficit categories. They have built in categories where customers begin from doubt, and where the product is hard to judge, price alone persuades nobody, and demand has to be earned before it can be served. India buys most of its medicine out of pocket, and pays a brand premium for medicines with the same salt composition. Chronic patients carry the heaviest load, three hundred million of them, buying the same prescription every month for years. Offline, the neighbourhood chemist has always offered a cheaper equivalent. What the chemist does one counter at a time, PlatinumRx does at national scale. PlatinumRx is not another ePharmacy but a value-first chronic care platform. Its advantage compounds over time. Chronic patients return every month, so trust earned once becomes revenue for years, and every refill shows the platform which therapies to go deeper on. PlatinumRx is making high-quality care affordable for every chronic patient in India. Website: https://www.platinumrx.in/ Here for the long run.
